Also remember: the reported cases are backyard poultry most of the time. The large scale coops with bird flu problems don't have a legal obligation to report H5N1 and these cases are hardly ever reported in the press.

Also we don't know how many human cases are missed. Several human sero-surveillance studies have been conducted in Indonesia recently, these were not published.
