It starts with cold-like symptoms, fatigue and aching muscles but can lead to pneumonia and aggravate underlying illnesses.

Influenza A has officially arrived in Oxford County with two lab confirmed cases announced on Thursday by Oxford County Public Health and Emergency Services.

"We're starting to see it here in Oxford County," said health protection supervisor Elaine Reddick. "Two lab confirmed cases means that there is a lot more out there."

Reddick said besides the two cases in the community a mixed outbreak of Influenza A and the Rhinovirus, which causes the common cold, has been discovered at Leisureworld Caregiving Centre in Ingersoll...
