Pandemic (H1N1) 2009 Current situation
As of 26 July 2009:
A total of 7,621 laboratory-confirmed cases of pandemic (H1N1) 2009 have been reported from eight SEAR countries.
Forty four deaths from the virus have been reported from Thailand.
No other deaths have been reported in the Region.
The countries in the South-East Asia Region with confirmed cases are as follows:
Cases officially reported to WHO worldwide: As of 6 July, a total of 94,512 laboratory-confirmed cases of pandemic (H1N1) 2009 and 429 deaths have been reported to WHO from 135 countries and dependencies/territories in accordance with International Health Regulations (2005).
