Swine flu still expected to arrive in Finland in the autumn
Finland?s third case confirmed in Greater Helsinki area

Finland?s third case of A(H1N1) influenza or swine flu, which was confirmed on Wednesday, is hardly likely to remain the last one, experts reckon.
Presumably more sporadic cases imported from abroad can be expected, says research professor Petri Ruutu from the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).
Europe is currently in a phase where efforts are made to delay the epidemic at least until the autumn, Ruutu explains.
In North America the virus advances very much like ordinary influenza. Summer 'flus and colds do not usually spread.
?It is difficult to predict how much time we can buy with the measures put in place.?

Finland?s third confirmed case of A(H1N1) influenza was discovered in a 30-year-old man living in the capital area.
According to infectious diseases specialist Veli-Jukka Anttila of the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa (HUS), the man in question is in good condition while convalescing in isolation at home.
The closest contacts of the man, who contracted the illness while on a business trip, have been identified and they have received preventive medication. Apparently the man visited his workplace before seeking treatment.
On Monday the man flew from Chicago to Finland via Brussels. His entourage included other Finns as well.
The man sought treatment the same evening. THL has already been in touch with most of the people who shared a flight with the man. They were urged to monitor their symptoms.
