A man aged 61, could have died yesterday in a hospital in the Salvadoran Social Security Institute (ISSS) for influenza A H1N1, said today the director of health surveillance, Julio Armero.
The case was reported at 6:40 pm. The patient was from Tonacatepeque, north of San Salvador, and suffered from diabetes and hypertension.
Now the Health Ministry officials conducted an audit to confirm or rule out the cause of death.
Since the first case in the country last May, Public Health indicates that 843 people have been confirmed with this disease, 31 deaths and over 2 thousand tests
