Following the death of a university student from Cork in recent days, the Meningitis Research Foundation has released a public warning about the symptoms of the illness. The death of the young female student from University College Cork is understood to have been confirmed in recent days, but it is unclear what strain of meningitis was involved, Independent.ie is reporting.
The death has led to an increase in the number of calls being made to the Meningitis Research Foundation, and a spokeswoman for the charity said today they were saddened to hear of the death, and added, ?We would like to offer our sincere condolences to her family and friends; our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time.?...
