Outbreak in a farm: the avian alarm breaks out

The avian nightmare is back in the Brescia area: in fact, a significant outbreak in a turkey farm in Casacce, in San Gervasio, is reported to have occurred. As the Giornale di Brescia writes, the first measures of the health authority are expected in the next few hours: even the trade associations are on alert and await developments. The outbreak could have been triggered by a contagion due to wild birdlife.

In fact, at the beginning of November, the positivity of some specimens to the H5 virus, found during the usual monitoring activities, was reported to various municipalities: in particular, they were ducks and wigeons intercepted in Muse locality in Pontevico, in Finilungo locality in Seniga and in the Rovato area.
