A local daily newspaper has published today a report about the death of a 48 year old man after a brief hospitalization for a suspected viral pneumonia.
The news appeared on the printed edition of the daily 'il Mattino di Padova', page 16 (see also the website in Italian language: http://mattinopadova.gelocal.it/ )
The man, an Unions worker, was from Legnago town, Verona province.
He was hospitalized in his town but the course of the illness was bad and finally died. The pathogen responsible of his infection is to date not known.
The article provides very few details about any other underlying conditions or travel history or date onset and symptoms.
The man will be buried after a religious service tomorrow, Wednesday August 4th.
