Cesium-137 Valsesia Boars. Health Minister activate food safety law enforcements

Traces of cesium-137, above the ruled thresholds, have been detected following routine surveillance on tongue and diaphragm from boars in the Valsesia area, Piedmont region. The samples were from wild boars captured during 2012-13 hunt season.On 27 samples, cesium-137 levels were above the ruled threshold, established with rule no. 733 / 2008, upper limit after nuclear incident.
