During week 46, an overall Influenza-like illness incidence of 12.88 x 1,000 inhabitants has been reported in Veneto Region. An estimation of total cases could be calculated as: 12.88*4,000,000/1,000=51,520 ILI compatible cases (4,000,000 is the estimate Veneto Region population.)
The most affected age group is 5-14 years-old with a ILI incidence value of 44.58 x 1,000 (4456 x 100,000); the 0-4 years old children account for 29.09 x 1,000 ILI cases (2909 x 100,000).
The lowest incidence has been reported among 65+ people with a value of 0.66 x 1,000 ILI cases.
