Dead wild falcon carried H5N1 virus

Researchers have confirmed that a wild falcon found dead near Tokyo was infected with a highly toxic bird flu virus.

Researchers at Hokkaido University said on Monday that they detected the H5N1 strain of the avian flu virus in the falcon. The bird hit the window of a house on February 13th in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture, north of Tokyo, and later died....
