A reporter who was prominent in the town of San Miguel died yesterday afternoon in the Social Security of San Salvador, following a complication of a respiratory illness.
Veronica Ferrufino, who until March worked for the newspaper El Diario de Hoy, was for a week in a private medical center miguele?o, where he was met by a respiratory illness.
He was later transferred to a network of Social Security in San Salvador, where he died.
The journalists' union of San Miguel has organized for today at 5 pm a controller in the chapel of the funeral home Guatemala at San Miguel, where he carried out the candle.
The death occurs in the middle of yellow alert for H1N1 virus, which has so far claimed the lives of seven people, mostly children.
