Child dies of diarrhoea at Tasia in Laikipia

A five-year-old girl died on Tuesday evening at Tasia village in Laikipia North subcounty of what is suspected to be cholera. County Health executive Dr David Njoroge said four other members of the family of Nabulo Lenaiyesa are being treated at Lokusero Dispensary.

Diarrhoea outbreak hits Mbaruk in Nakuru

Anxiety has gripped residents of Mbaruk location in Nakuru after an outbreak of diarrhea.

Locals claimed that three minors aged below five years had died from the outbreak but the government was quick to deny this.

The county public health officer Samuel King?ori admitted that three minors had died but the cause of death was yet to be established.

He confirmed the outbreak which he attributed the open defecation mainly in River Kasambara which supplied area residents with drinking water.

King?ori said that locals had made a report of three deaths but they were yet to ascertain if the deaths had been caused by the outbreak.
