The National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) has confirmed a measles outbreak in Grand Kru County in southeastern Liberia that has affected 73 persons with two deaths recorded so far, reports said on Monday.According to Dr. Masoka Fallah, the dead are a one-year-old boy and an eleven-month old baby girl.

Dr. Fallah quoted Grand Kru County health authorities as saying the outbreak is concentrated in the districts of Forpoh, Dorbor, Jloh and Barclayville...

Liberia: Measles Outbreak Reported in Nimba

Amid the outbreak of Coronavirus in Liberia, there is also a report of an outbreak of measles in two districts of Nimba County.

Speaking on Radio Nimba morning on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, the surveillance officers of the County Health Team, Isaac Cole and Telekpeh Weh Johnson, named the two districts as Sanniquellie and Tappita.

They said the Ministry of Health has begun a routine vaccination campaign in the affected areas...
