Four deaths in 15 days cause concern in Jalna

AURANGABAD: Villagers in Jalna district pressed the panic button after four people with died within a span of 15 days. Doctors camping in the village over the last few days have, however, said that there is no cause of worry as the deaths were due to different reasons.

Health officials said that the first death was reported on August 13. A seven-year-old girl, Kavita Gawli, was undergoing treatment at a private hospital for fever. When her condition deteriorated, her relatives decided to shift her to the Buldhana civil hospital. But she succumbed on her way to the hospital. Her death has been recorded due to fever of unknown origin.
Tanabai Veershit, 50, was the second patient who died on August 15 at a private hospital in Buldhana. Her death has been reported due to liver disease. Subhash Allat, 44, died due to acute respiratory distress syndrome on August 27. He was undergoing treatment in a private hospital at Aurangabad.
Sulabai Borkade, 50, was recorded at Aurangabad GMCH on August 29 due to bilateral pneumonia.
