PUNE: Three of every 10 people who underwent a test for influenza H1N1 at the Punebased National Institute of Virology (NIV) in the last week of September tested positive for the virus, NIV's latest H1N1Positivity Report reveals.

The H1N1virus positivity rate touched an all-time high of 33% in the last week of September, the report stated.In other words, on average, 33 of every 100 people who underwent the test for H1N1 at NIV tested positive for the virus.

There are 46 people in the district and 49 people out of the district. Most of the 31 patients have died in the area. Guardian Minister Eknath Shinde urgently convened a meeting of the health department due to the rapid increase in swine flu in the district in July. A woman resident of Kamanpur in Amravati-Bhatkuli taluka had been admitted in the District General Hospital for suspected swine flu. The patient was discharged on Thursday on the patient's relatives' demand. However, on Friday, when Irvine received positive reports of the swine flu, the same kind of ecstasy in the healthcare system. The woman was admitted to Irwin on Friday and today she died on Saturday. So, the health mechanism entered the village and 15 to 20 patients were admitted to Irvine for suspected health check-up of the entire village.

Prabha Babulal Kamble (60) is the name of this patient. On September 30, the woman had been recruited by ICU due to asthma, asthma, fever and high blood pressure. On October 3, the woman was released from the hospital. On October 4, he was admitted to the hospital. She was evacuated from Irvine on October 6 at a private hospital in Chandurbarazar. He was admitted to Chandur Bazar hospital till 10th October. He was then admitted to Irvine on October 10. Swami Flu was treated on 11th October. However, on October 12, she was discharged on the request of her relatives. However, on Oct 13, the District General Hospital received the report of the health check-up sent to Nagpur and the same was noticed in the health system as it was found that the patient was like swine flu. On Friday, the patient was admitted to District General Hospital from Kamanapur and on Saturday afternoon, the patient died. So, the health system has created a lot of excitement.

District Health Officer Suresh Asole's medical officer of Ashti Health Center, Rajendra Dalul and his team reached Kamanapur. He inspected the villagers and referred them to Irwin.


Total village inspection: Kamanapur is a 768-member village. After the death of the patient, today's Health System has entered the village. Every 15 to 20 people in each house health check-up have been shifted to the District General Hospital due to cough, fever. This incident has created panic in the town.

Initially the patient was admitted in Irwin due to asthma, fever, blood pressure and illness. Due to our suspicion, we investigated the swine flu on 4th October and sent it to Nagpur. Meanwhile, the relatives of the patient had given the leave to the patient upon request and after writing himself. As soon as we got the report of the swine flu report on October 12, we had again recruited the patient.

Pune: From January 2017 till October 22, around 686 swine flu deaths have been recorded in the State, reported officials from the State Health Department. Adding to the concern, around 30 patients from the State are on the ventilator, out of which 15 patients are from Pune, 14 from Nagpur and one from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).

According to the State Health Department, the highest number of deaths in the State is from Nashik district ? a total of 74, followed by Nagpur with 58 deaths and then by Pune rural with 50 deaths. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has reported 43 deaths. From January 1 to October 22, around 17,98,401 patients have been tested for swine flu. Out of which, 51,226 swab samples were sent for testing and 5,938 tested positive for swine flu. Till Sunday, 268 patients were admitted to the hospitals and 686 patients lost their lives across the State.

Nashik: The present year has recorded the highest number of deaths caused by swine flu in the region since the outbreak of the influenza in 2009.
Despite the efforts made by the district administration, people continue to succumb to this deadly flu. This year, 89 people have lost their lives. Among the dead, 19 were from outside Nashik.
