Rabies confirmed, six dead so far
IMPHAL, Jun 14: So far six deaths have been registered in the State due to rabies resulting from dog bite since the last month. Against this backdrop, experts have mooted urgent formulation of specific measures to tackle prevalence of rabies in the State.
Quoting reports of the Medical Department, an official of the Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Services while speaking to The Sangai Express confirmed that six persons have died of rabies since last month.
Among the six dead, three are said to be from Phumlou Siphai, two from Achanbigei and one each from Kongba and Ahallup.

Mass Rabies Vaccination continues

IMPHAM, June, 15: Irabot Foundation Manipur has been campaigning mass rabies vaccination since June 2, 2013 at different eight locations in association with different local clubs/organisation under the aegis of the department of veterinary and animal husbandry, government of Manipur, said it according to press release of the Irabot Foundation Manipur.
