The Secretary of State for Health points that were registered 102 cases of Influenza (flu) in Mato Grosso, being 28 positive for Influenza A H1N1, six Influenza B positive, two cases inconclusive, 20 cases dropped 45 and under investigation. Three deaths were confirmed by H1N1. Two deaths in Cuiab? and one in Kanpur. Additionally, the Secretariat still investigating three other deaths, being two in Cuiab? and Rondon?polis. The data are for January 1 until today.The municipalities who recorded occurrence of H1N1 were Cuiab? The Secretariat of Health of Mato Grosso (SES) has confirmed that 12 of the 24 people who have contracted the virus H1N1 this year died as a result of the disease throughout the state. From 1 January to June 6, 2014, 132 cases of influenza (flu) were reported in Mato Grosso. Of these 24 positive for H1N1 influenza, a positive for Influenza B, a positive for influenza H3 and two Seasonal influenza cases by epidemiological criteria and others are under investigation.

Luverdense trucker dies in Primavera do Leste from suspected H1N1

The State Department of Health confirmed this afternoon that there were 14 deaths due to the H1N1 influenza (flu) virus in Mato Grosso between the 1st of January until now. There were four deaths in Cuiab? three in Tangara da Serra, two in Lowland Grande. Rosario Oeste, Tapurah, Jaciara, Sachse and Paranatinga there was one death in each.

Two deaths in Juscimeira and Rondon?polis, are still being investigated. The department said there was no confirmed case of H1N1, this year, the city of Brasnorte. Already reported in Lucas do Rio Verde death was discarded by laboratory criteria.

Woman is diagnosed with H1N1 virus in Lucas do Rio Verde

A housewife, of 41 years, a resident of Lucas do Rio Verde, in the North of Mato Grosso, was diagnosed with H1N1 virus. This was the first case recorded of the disease by the Department of Health of the municipality in 2014. According to the Coordinator of Health Surveillance, Barbara Ferreira, Seven other cases that were under investigation were discarded for the viruses.




The woman sought a health unit on June 11 with flu-like symptoms and to go through medical examinations, was hospitalized and under observation for three days. Soon after the woman was high and did not show any more symptoms. Were collected materials from the patient and sent to Cuiaba, where he was diagnosed with H1N1.

In less than a month, over 16 deaths from influenza were registered in the state of Mato Grosso, causing the general index of 21 deaths registered until last month increased to 37.
