Maine Health Officials Warn of Measles Exposure

State health officials say a Quebec resident who recently traveled to the Old Orchard Beach and Saco areas has been diagnosed with the viral illness.
Maine health officials say some southern Maine residents could have been exposed to measles recently by an infected vacationer from Quebec.
State epidemiologist Dr. Stephen Sears he was notified by Quebec health officials today that a resident of the Canadian province who recently traveled to the Old Orchard Beach and Saco areas has been diagnosed with the viral illness. The vacationer was in the area July 15-18.
Sears says Quebec has been experiencing an outbreak of measles recently, and the Quebec resident had not been vaccinated against the disease...
