Hello All.
My parents have just returned from a trip to Cancun. I have given them a good physical and none had showed any symptoms of flu. My dad did have a minor cough however he had no fever or swollen glands or any other symptoms to idicate influenza. I thoroughly sanitized their luggage and any other objects that could of came in to contact with the virus just to be safe as it seems to be able to live on surfaces for long periods of time.
At the airport in Cancun, Mexico they had to fill out the following survery before briefly under going a quick health examination by health officials at the airport who checked for temperature and other symptoms. Below is a copy of the survey they were required to fill out before the examination. Thought some of you may find it interesting!
Also they said that they were not at all checked upon arrival in the United States nor were any precautions taken on the plane (such as masks or gloves). Sorta dissapointing as the USA should be looking for new cases at border checkpoints/cutoms inspections, especially on planes coming directly from mexico. Even an infared camera would be beneficial (which probably should be used all the time regardless of an on going pandemic). Well goodnight all.
