An outbreak of pertussis, or whooping cough, since January is putting ?operational pressure? on the Butte-Silver Bow Health Department, a county official said Friday.

Health officer Karen Sullivan said a reported 20 cases since Jan. 1 has greatly affected the department, so much so that she sent an email to Chief Executive Matt Vincent and the council of commissioners on Feb. 25 alerting them of the uptick...
