NORRISTOWN, Pa. ? Health officials in suburban Philadelphia fear that a local resident who contracted measles may have exposed others to the contagious disease.

Officials in Montgomery County say the unidentified resident had traveled to Malawi in southern Africa...

Second measles case confirmed

COURTHOUSE ? A 25-year-old man who is a student at Bryn Athyn College is the second confirmed case of measles in Montgomery County this year.

The Montgomery County Health Department is investigating the measles case involving the college student who had traveled recently to Zambia, Africa where there is a large, ongoing measles outbreak, according to health officials.

Currently, the student is hospitalized and in isolation and will be discharged when all restrictions have been lifted. Health Department investigators and college staff have contacted individuals who might have been exposed to the sick man to evaluate each person?s risk...

...Morton said an August measles case involving a 47-year-old Lower Merion woman, who had also traveled to Africa, is not connected to the student?s illness...
