An outbreak of the mumps at Pearl River Community College has so far affected only the baseball team. Six baseball players have been diagnosed with the disease, which can cause swelling on both sides of the face. Results are pending on four other players.
"We've been in constant contact with Mississippi Department of Health," PRCC Vice President Adam Breerwood said. "We've talked to them numerous times. It's been confined to our baseball team."
