Two dengue deaths reported in Mysore district in 2012

District Health Officer Male Gowda said here on Saturday that dengue had claimed two lives in Mysore district in 2012. Speaking at a workshop, he said 15 people were affected by dengue, of which two persons died. Dr. Gowda said two persons had died of A(H1N1) influenza. However, there were no chikungunya deaths. District Malaria Officer Manjunath said 74 cases of malaria, 220 hepatitis cases, five chikungunya cases and 1,403 typhoid cases were reported in the district in 2012.
