School worker hospitalized Catawba County Health Department says meningococcal disease

SHERRILLS FORD ? A Sherrills Ford Elementary School worker for a before and after-school program was hospitalized with a possible case of meningococcal disease.

Catawba County Health Department spokeswoman Kelly Schermerhorn said it was unlikely students were infected with the disease. She said it is not spread through casual contact...
