The spread of new flu continues its progression. In the last week the infection rate has gone from 182 to 292 per 100,000 population, according to data released by the Ministry of Health. This means that another 127,000 have been affected, most mild. The number of deaths associated with the disease is already 73 (last week were 63). Influenza A
-10 Increasing people-is the highest since there is counting, but as the number of cases grows faster, has lowered the CFR is 13 people per 10,000 infected (it was 15 per 10,000 last week) .
For its part, the World Health Organization warned yesterday that it will produce an increase in cases by the onset of winter. The deputy director Keiji Fukuda of the WHO said it has already happened in the U.S. and Mexico. The good news is that recent analysis say the virus has not mutated.
