Managua, 24 Ago (Notimex) .- A woman died in Nicaragua Costa Rican nationality because of human influenza, second confirmed fatality from the outbreak of the outbreak in the country, reported Wednesday Health Minister Guillermo Gonzalez.

Managua, 7 Sep (Notimex) .- Nicaragua Health Authorities confirmed today the death of two women for human influenza, bringing to six the number of fatalities in the country, while contagion reach thousand 200.

The area director of the Ministry of Health Epidemiology, Edmundo Sanchez, said at a news conference that two women who were high-risk patients died over the weekend as a result of the H1N1 virus.

Deaths from influenza A in Nicaragua increased to six

Managua, 7 sep (EFE) .- Nicaragua's health authorities reported Tuesday that the number of deaths due to influenza A in the country rose to six, after a report of two new victims.

The director of surveillance and epidemiology of the Ministry of Health of Nicaragua (MINSA), Edmundo Sanchez, told state radio that the two new victims are women over 30 who were pregnant.

The first died in the country for this disease was a 30 year old from the town of La Cruz de Rio Grande (north), who died Aug. 12 after giving birth.

A Costa Rican, 44, who suffered from morbid obesity (weight greater than 121 kilos), became the second fatality caused by influenza A in Nicaragua when he died on 24 August.

Two other women, one aged 25 and another of 36, the first native of Managua and one of Tipitapa, 26 miles north of the capital, became the third and fourth victims of this epidemic.

According to the latest report by the Ministry of Health, confirmed cases of influenza A in Nicaragua amounted to 1324.
