Red measles case diagnosed in Mecklenburg County

The Mecklenburg County Health Department is taking preventative measures after someone was diagnosed with red measles last week, the county announced Monday.
The individual, whose name was not released, had traveled to a country with an outbreak of the disease, according to Mecklenburg County. Those in direct contact with the sickened individual have been notified and the health department said there is no risk to the general public.
