Norway: 1000-1500 dies annually from seasonal flu

Statistics Norway:

Influenza as underlying cause of death Norway 2007 : 41 deaths ; 14 males and 27 females (38 of 41 were75 years or older)

Pneumonia as underlying cause of death : 1,861 fatalities - 93.6 per cent occured among those above 75 years
