CAMBRIDGE ? More immunization clinics will be held this week after a hepatitis A outbreak at a Cambridge school.
"The sooner we can get people immunized, the sooner we can stop transmission in the classroom," said Kristy Wright, manager of infectious disease for Region of Waterloo Public Health.
Two cases of hepatitis A were reported last week at Chalmers Street Public School.
"An infection like this spreads very easily," Wright said.
That's especially true among small children with not the best hygiene and handwashing habits. The virus is spread through contaminated food and water or direct contact with an infectious person...
