OTTAWA ? A case of tuberculosis, one of about 40 to 50 that occur in the region each year, has been diagnosed at the Carlingview Manor long-term care facility.
?We are currently working with Carlingview Manor after being notified of one confirmed case of tuberculosis among their residents,? Donna Casey, spokeswoman for Ottawa Public Health, said Wednesday.
However, she noted that ?as no other cases have been identified to date, this (single case) does not constitute an outbreak...?
