Ontario reports 131 new cases of swine flu; provincial total at 626

TORONTO ? Ontario is confirming 131 new cases of the swine flu since Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 626.
Health officials say almost all of the cases reported to date are considered mild. Six people with the virus were in hospital as of Thursday. Toronto reported 76 new cases, Peel Region had 26, and York Region had 15.
Halton, Ottawa and Simcoe Muskoka District each reported three cases, Wellington Dufferin Guelph had two, and Hamilton, Waterloo Region and Niagara Region each had one.
In all, 315 males and 309 females in Ontario have contracted the virus, with information still pending from two other cases.
