Ontario reports 728 new COVID-19 cases, 5 deaths

Ontario is reporting 728 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the total case count in the province to 610,950.

This is the third day in a row that daily cases were reported above 700. However, this is a decrease from Friday’s case count of 793 reported cases...

...The Ministry of Health reported that out of 728 reported cases, 370 were among those who are unvaccinated, 17 were among those who are partially vaccinated and 55 were those with an unknown vaccination status. The remaining 273 of the cases were reported among people who are fully vaccinated.

Health Minister Christine Elliot tweeted that 283 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Of the 283 hospitalizations, 215 patients are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status. The remaining 68 patients are fully vaccinated.

ICU data is unavailable at this time, she added...

Ontario is reporting 627 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, breaking a four-day trend that saw case counts above 700. However, cases continue to rise week over week. The provincial case total now stands at 612,318...

...Of the 627 new cases recorded, the data showed 282 were unvaccinated people, 23 were partially vaccinated people, 286 were fully vaccinated people and for 36 people the vaccination status was unknown. The number of cases among vaccinated individuals has surpassed cases among unvaccinated people...

...Ontario reported 136 people in general hospital wards with COVID-19 (up by 29 from the previous day) with 133 patients in intensive care units (down by two) and 111 patients in intensive care units on a ventilator (down by two)...

...Due to incomplete data from the weekend, the latest figures come from Saturday. TORONTO -- Ontario is reporting another 613 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday as well as six additional deaths related to the disease.

Tuesday’s report brings the seven-day average for the number of cases reported to 675. A week ago, that number was 579 and two weeks ago it was 492.

Government data shows that of the 613 infections reported today, 266 are in fully vaccinated individuals, 288 are in those who are unvaccinated, and 30 are in people who are only partially vaccinated. The vaccination status of the remaining 29 patients is unknown...

...Right now, there are 282 people in hospital with COVID-19, including 66 patients who are fully vaccinated, 95 patients who are unvaccinated, and nine who are partially vaccinated. The vaccination status of the remaining 112 patients in hospital is unknown...

Ontario is reporting 591 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, as the count drops below 600 for the first time in a week. The provincial case total now stands at 613,522...

...Of the 591 new cases recorded, the data showed 293 were unvaccinated people, 14 were partially vaccinated people, 237 were fully vaccinated people and for 47 people the vaccination status was unknown...

...Ontario reported 289 people in general hospital wards with COVID-19 (up by seven from the previous day) with 137 patients in intensive care units (up by three) and 118 patients in intensive care units on a ventilator (up by seven).

In the third wave peak, which was the worst wave for hospitalizations, the province saw as many as 900 patients in ICUs with COVID and almost 2,400 in general hospital wards.

For those in general hospital wards with COVID, 104 were unvaccinated, 5 were partially vaccinated and 59 were fully vaccinated. For those in ICUs, 66 were unvaccinated while 3 were partially vaccinated and 14 were fully vaccinated...

Ontario is reporting 927 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, as the counts continue to rise week over week and the first time since early September the count is higher than 900. The provincial case total now stands at 615,197.

For comparison, last Friday saw 793 new cases and the previous Friday saw 598. All three Friday’s saw similar testing volumes in the 30,000 range.

Of the 927 new cases recorded, the data showed 467 were unvaccinated people, 27 were partially vaccinated people, 378 were fully vaccinated people and for 55 people the vaccination status was unknown...

...Ontario reported 268 people in general hospital wards with COVID-19 (up by 11 from the previous day) with 140 patients in intensive care units (up by three) and 121 patients in intensive care units on a ventilator (up by four)...

Health officials in Ontario are reporting 854 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday as well as two additional deaths linked to the disease.

The seven-day average for the number of cases reported in the province now stands at 729. A week ago, that number was 635 and two weeks ago it was 563...

... Of the cases reported today, 451 involve unvaccinated individuals, 349 involve those who are fully vaccinated, 23 are partially vaccinated, and 31 were found in those without a known vaccination status.

Right now, there are 254 patients in hospital with COVID-19, including 83 unvaccinated patients, 48 fully vaccinated patients, and eight partially vaccinated patients. The vaccination status of the remaining 115 patients is unknown.

ICU admissions for COVID-19 total 134, 60 of those patients are unvaccinated, 11 are fully vaccinated, and three are partially vaccinated. No vaccination information was provided for the remaining 60 patients...

TORONTO -- Health officials in Ontario are reporting 964 new cases of COVID-19, marking the highest number of infections reported in a single day since May 30 when 1,033 cases were identified...

... Of the cases logged today, 498 were found unvaccinated individuals, 396 were in those fully vaccinated, and 21 cases were recorded in partially vaccinated individuals. The vaccination status of the remaining 49 cases is unknown.

Ontario is reporting 788 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, as the counts continue to rise week over week. The provincial case total now stands at 617,803.

For comparison, last Monday saw 627 new cases and the previous Monday saw 552. All three Monday’s saw similar testing volumes in the 20,000 range.

Of the 788 new cases recorded, the data showed 412 were unvaccinated people, 27 were partially vaccinated people, 315 were fully vaccinated people and for 34 people the vaccination status was unknown...

...Ontario reported 145 people in general hospital wards with COVID-19 (up by 23 from the previous day) with 148 patients in intensive care units (up by 13) and 131 patients in intensive care units on a ventilator (up by 13).

As of Sunday, there are 5 patients from Saskatchewan in Ontario hospitals, three of whom are in the ICU.

Ontario Health officials have recently said intensive care occupancy can hit between 250 or 300 patients before the health care system would be impacted and require ramping down some non-urgent surgeries and procedures...

Ontario's pandemic death toll hit 10,000 people on Tuesday as the province reported nearly 700 new COVID-19 cases.

On Tuesday, health officials logged an additional 687 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the seven-day average for the number of infections reported in the province to 794.

According to the province, there are 266 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Ontario and 153 people are in ICU with the disease...
