Superbug outbreak at St. Catharines General

The Niagara Health System has declared and outbreak of Vancomycin Resistant Enterococcus, or VRE, at the St. Catharines General Hospital.
Since August 7, the number of patients infected with VRE reached 9 - high enough to trigger the NHS's enhanced infection control measures. There are only three outbreak patients still at the General, the NHS reports...
