Four Oregon horses now infected with herpes after event in Linn County

Four horses have now tested positive for equine herpes virus in Oregon, according to the state veterinarian.

Last week, the Oregon Department of Agriculture advised horse owners to be on guard against symptoms of the horse-specific herpes virus after one horse in Marion County contracted the disease. Now, additional stables in Marion County and one in Polk County are under quarantine...
