Friday, October 09, 2015 - Lahore?The number of patients suffering from dengue fever in Punjab has reached 1100 this year, officials said Thursday, with 900 patients reported only in Rawalpindi.

The second-highest number of patients was reported in Multan, where 55 people have been affected by the dengue virus. 12 cases have been reported in Lahore.

The health department says that the danger of dengue fever outbreak will continue during the month of November, but the number of cases will start to decrease with the fall of the winter season...

The man died on October 2 according to sources in a private hospital where he was brought for treatment who belonged to the residential area of North Nazimabad.

ISLAMABAD: As many as 76 cases of dengue fever were confirmed on Thursday in Rawalpindi taking the total number of dengue fever cases reported this year in the city to 1,457.

Meanwhile, a patient tested positive for dengue died at the Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) on Thursday, however, according to Rawalpindi Health Department officials, the cause of death has yet to be confirmed as the patient was suffering from various other diseases as well.

Deadly bite: Dengue fever claims life of young man

KARACHI: Dengue fever claimed the life of a young man in the city, taking the total death toll to six this year while over 2,200 have been bitten by the deadly mosquitoes.

Abdul Ghafoor, 20, resident of village Soomar Khaskheli, Mawach Goth, died at Civil Hospital, Karachi, on Friday during treatment. Dozens of other patients have been admitted at different public and private hospitals.

A 23-year-old man named Sajjad at the General Hospital on early Thursday morning.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - 23-year-old man named Sajjad died of dengue virus at the Lahore?s General Hospital on early Thursday morning. It is the second death from the virus in the city in 2015.

Sajjad, a resident of Haloke village, was brought to the General Hospital on Wednesday. Hospital sources said that DNA test proved that dengue virus was present in Sajjad?s blood.
