DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Three minors died of diphtheria while 12 others were infected by the disease in the Parwara villages in the Sherani area of Frontier Region (FR) Dera Ismail Khan on Saturday. Sources said the contagious disease was spreading fast in the area as the Health Department had not yet taken any preventative measures to contain it and save the infected children.
The children died of the chronic disease were four to five years old. However, their exact identities could not be verified as they died when being shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital.
