The Ministry of Agricultural Development (MIDA), through the National Directorate of Animal Health, confirmed that the presence of High Pathogenic Avian Influenza - IAAP H5N1 was detected on a backyard farm located in El Flor, district of Dolega, province of Chiriquí.
The agency, however, clarified that the case is not affecting human health, consumption or trade in the poultry industry.
The National Director of Animal Health of MIDA, Reinaldo Viveros, explained that the corresponding controls were taken upon identifying a positive case of the disease...
