As for the clinical classification, among the confirmed cases, 37% (1585/4292) showed signs of alarm and 2.4% (104/4292) proved to be severe dengue. So far this year, it reported a total of 5,457 hospitalized with suspected dengue, which confirmed 81% (4407/5457).
As for the clinical classification, among the confirmed cases, 35% (1554/4407) showed signs of alarm and 2.4% (105/4407) proved to be severe dengue. (Figure 12). 70% of hospitalizations occurred in services under the MSP and BS, 19% in the IPS and the remainder in the private sector or other services. (Figure 13)

The trend line shows a significant decrease in the number of reported cases. From epidemiological week 23 national notifications are below the 1000 cases per week.

Hospitalizations with suspected dengue so far this year are: 5,786 hospitalized, which confirmed 85% (4938/5786). With respect to the total confirmed on 19, 27% (4938/25321) of the cases required hospitalization.

In Asuncion neighborhoods with active circulation are: Bella Vista, Nazareth and Republican. This positions the intermunicipal efforts to combat the vector, as the most efficient way to reduce risks and damage to people and the development of the emergency and medical regulation between facilities and services in the affected area are key strategies for mitigate the impact of disease on the population.

We identified the circulation of DEN-2 and DEN-4, the latter only in Asuncion and Central. The cumulative incidence rate is 405 per hundred thousand population, compared to 2010 is 93.24% higher and for the year 2011 is lower by 36.26%.
Hospitalizations with suspected dengue so far this year are: 5,849 hospitalized, which confirmed 87% (5092/5849). With respect to the total confirmed 19% (5092/26991) of the cases required hospitalization and the most recent week (SE 28), 29 cases were hospitalized with suspected dengue.

Regarding mortality, the number of deceased patients admitted to the system are in total 134 of which were confirmed as dengue death by 42.5% (57 cases).
Some 57% had comorbid conditions and 45% had a history of at least one confirmed previous episode of dengue. (Table 5). In terms of distribution by age group, among those confirmed, 39% (22/57) correspond to those over 60 years. (Figure 10).

Nationally, there were a total of 89 notifications with onset date (FIS) in EW 37 (09 to 15/sept), 5.9% (84 to 89) than IS 36 (2 to 8 / September). 91% (81/89) of the notifications are from Western Central Shaft, Central department being predominant, with 55 notifications, followed by Asunci?n where there were 21 notifications.

Analyzing the past three weeks (35, 36 and 37), there were reports in 77.7% (14/18) of the departments, a total of 248 notifications. It is evident that the increase in notifications in the SE 37 is concentrated mainly in Central (55) and Assumption (21), followed by Paraguar? and Conception (4), Canindey? (2) and Cordillera, Missions and ?eembuc? (1).

The highest peak of dengue bed occupancy was recorded in EW 17 (22 to 28/abr) with 779 hospitalized. Until press time, were reported in the SE 37 24 (twenty four) hospitalized with suspected dengue, being slightly higher than that reported last week (20 notifications).
