Dengue is endemic in Paraguay since 2009 ( transmission
persistent) so the data from the SE 1 are methodological purposes .

From December 29, 2013 (SE 1) until January 11 (SE 2) , have
reported to the surveillance system 1,092 cases of acute febrile illness of
11 of them were confirmed cases of Dengue laboratory and / or link
epidemiological , 9 were discarded , and 1,072 suspects continue .
The highest number of notifications came from the metropolitan area, 925 (84.7% )
followed by the Eastern Central axis : 63 ( 5.7%) West Central axis : 46 ( 4.2%) axis
North : 21 (1.9 %), South axis : 20 ( 1.8%) and axis Chaco : 17 ( 1.5%). Importantly
data E 2 can still be modified.
Currently we are in an inter epidemic period from the point
view of the cases to be reported weekly to discuss
a national epidemic and considering that this was installed on SE 24
, 2013. However, there are still outbreaks in different parts of
country .

reported to the surveillance system 1,802 cases of acute febrile illness of
which 23 (1.3%) were confirmed cases of Dengue laboratory and / or link
epidemiology, 59 (3.3%) have been discarded, and continue suspects
1,720 (95%).
The highest number of notifications came from the metropolitan area, 1,501 (83.2%)
followed by the Eastern Central axis: 127 (7%) West Central axis: 68 (3.7%) axis
North: 46 (2.5%), South axis: 39 (2.1%) and axis Chaco: 21 (1.2%). Importantly
details SE 3 can still be modified.
In this period, the LCSP has detected movement of DEN-2 from a
sample corresponding to a case in District J. Augusto Zaldivar
(Central Department) of Greater Asunci?n. this serotype
circulates without interruption since 2010 and it is possible that there
simultaneous movement of other serotypes.

reported to the surveillance system 2,539 cases of acute febrile illness of
which 41 (1.6% ) were confirmed cases of Dengue laboratory and / or link
epidemiology , 98 ( 3.8%) have been discarded , and continue suspects
2.400 (94.5%) .
The highest number of notifications came from the metropolitan area, 2,138 ( 84.1%)
followed by the Eastern Central axis : 176 (6.9%) West Central axis : 86 (3.3% ) axis
North : 68 ( 2.7%), South axis : 47 ( 1.8%) and axis Chaco : 24 ( 0.9%). Importantly
details SE 4 may still suffer
modifications.

Dengue patient dies in Luque

reported to the surveillance system 7,203 cases of acute febrile illness of
which 481 (6.6% ) were confirmed cases of Dengue laboratory and / or
epidemiological analysis , 961 ( 13, 3 %) were discarded and continue as
5,761 suspects ( 79.9 %).
Considering the origin of notifications and their frequency is
distributed as follows : Metropolitan Area , 5,860 ( 82%), axis
Eastern Center : 500 ( 6.9%) ; West Central axis : 204 (2.8%) North axis : 360
(4.9%) , South axis : 208 ( 2.8%) and axis Chaco : 71 ( 0.9%). Importantly, the
13 SE data may still suffer
modifications.
So far this year, the GCA has
identified DEN -1 DEN -2 and DEN -4
samples submitted from patients with sx .

From December 29, 2013 (SE 1) to June 28 (SE 26), have
reported to the surveillance system 11,445 cases of acute febrile syndrome,
which 1,155 (10%) were confirmed cases of Dengue laboratory
and / or epidemiological link, 2,993 (26.1%) were discarded and continue
suspicion 7,307 (63.7%).
Considering the origin of notifications and their frequency is
distributed as follows: Metropolitan Area, 9,174 (80%), axis
Eastern Center: 910 (7.9%); West Central axis: 288 (2.5%) North axis: 679
(5.9%), South axis: 282 (2.4%) and Chaco axis: 122 (1%). Importantly, the
26 SE data can still be modified.

So far this year, the GCA has identified DEN-1 DEN-2 and DEN-4
sent in samples of patients with Sx. Acute febrile. circulation
of these serotypes is reflected in the map and it is important to remember
that they circulated actively during 2013,
in the same localities, for therefore be expected to persist
cocirculation pattern and the risk of spread.
