Peru: Not be confirmed if pregnant woman died from influenza H1N1 in Chimbote

The director of the Hospital La Caleta, in Chimbote, Ricardo Aguirre Flores, not confirmed that the H1N1 flu is in the city, and much less that has claimed its first victim as it warned in different local media.

According to the doctor, on Saturday entered a pregnant woman of 25 weeks, with a picture of difficulty breathing and that he died; however, he did not confirm that his death is due the mentioned influenza.

'The patient had respiratory difficulty, but its definitive diagnosis is not yet known, so it cannot be confirmed that product of the influenza a/H1N1 has died,' said the director of the Hospital La Caleta.

Also said there is another patient is in the life and death with a similar diagnosis; however, he did not confirm that the patient have the dreaded disease. In addition, he referred to that hospital does not have items and equipment to be able to tender an emergency for H1N1 flu.
