Carjacked Van Has Harmful Medical Waste Inside: Police

Authorities are searching for a carjacked van that had potenitally harmful isotope-laden medical waste inside.

The white van, which is owned by medical services company Cardinal Health Nuclear, was forcefully stolen along the 200 block of Mill Street in Darby, Pa. around 2:30 p.m. Friday, according to Darby Borough Police.

Darby Borough Police Chief Robert Smythe says the medical waste is from dialysis procedures and contains isotope material, which can be toxic.
