PANGASINAN (19 March) -- GOVERNMENT information officers are scheduled to attend a seminar-workshop on the feared avian flu on March 19 to 21 at Richville Hotel in Mandaluyong City.
The activity, organized by the Philippine Information Agency in coordination with UNICEF, aims to provide PIA information officers enough knowledge and understanding on bird flu which has brought fears in many parts of the world.
Resource persons will come from the health and agriculture departments. Topics include the bird flu situation in the Philippines and the human side of the disease.
Secretary Conrado A. Limcaoco, Jr. is also set to meet with the information officers and regional directors to map out communication strategies for the "Stay Bird Flu Free Philippines." (PIA-Pangasinan)
