El Salvador Reported an increase in queries by pneumonia and diarrhoea over the last year, reported the Deputy Minister of health, Violeta Menj?var. Health records 50,282 consultations by pneumonia, representing 8,720 attentions than in 2010, when between these dates were handled 41,562 people by this disease.The figures represent an increase in the disease of 2.6%. The increase in cases is notorious since two weeks ago when 662 and 670 consultations have been recorded for this cause, explained Menj?var. the Deputy Minister gave no details on the departments where the largest number of patients has been concentrated by these two diseases.Two weeks ago, health reported that the departments of Chalatenango and Usulut?n are zone alarm by the increase in respiratory diseases and pneumonia.It is unknown if these areas are where there is still a greater number of cases of pneumonia.As regards diarrheas, this year are reported in 2,826,054 consultations, which represents an increase of 0.9 per cent as compared to 2010 when reported 2,788,000.Salud nor gave details on the situation.
