Zmarła czwarta osoba zarażona wirusem A/H1N1

52-letnia kobieta, u której potwierdzono obecność wirusa grypy typu A/H1N1, zmarła w szpitalu w Gdańsku. Służby sanitarne podkreślają, że zakażenie wirusem świńskiej grypy nie było główną przyczyna śmierci pacjentki.

Kobieta była w stanie ciężkim, leżała na oddziale intensywnej opieki medycznej. Zmarła w wyniku niewydolności krążeniowo-oddechowej.

Jak poinformowała minister zdrowia Ewa Kopacz, od 1 września do 15 listopada br. na grypę sezonową oraz wywołaną wirusem A/H1N1 zachorowało w Polsce ponad 107 tysięcy pacjentów. W ubiegłym roku w tym samym okresie zachorowało prawie 25 tysięcy osób.

Według danych Światowej Organizacji Zdrowia, u 80 proc. wszystkich zainfekowanych nową odmianą wirusa choroba przebiega bardzo łagodnie. U 10 proc. pacjentów praktycznie nie występują żadne objawy.

Minister of Health Ewa Kopacz shows the current disease situation in the Polish wz. epidemic of influenza A/H1N1

- The main causes of death in people who have been confirmed infected with A/H1N1 have chronic diseases - announced at a conference at the Ministry of Health Andrzej Wojtyla, Chief Sanitary Inspector. The Ministry of Health data shows that in Poland we have confirmed 344 cases of swine flu infection.


At a specially convened press conference, Health Minister Ewa Kopacz informed that there are currently staying in hospitals 101 people from swine flu virus, sent to be tested 102 samples, and 17 persons infected with A/H1N1 is in hospital in intensive care units in Poland. In total we have 344 confirmed cases of A/H1N1 infection.

Generally mild flu
