While 33 districts in the state have reported cases of swine flu, eight districts of Sawaimadhopur, Dholpur, Sirohi, Jalore, Baran, Jhalawar, Pratpagarh, and Rajsamand have not reported any mortality due to H1N1.

Out of the 2569 patients testing positive for the virus, 165 have died in the state this year, he said.

In the past three days, as per the health department figures, it is found that the number of positive swine cases has decreased. On Wednesday, the total persons tested positive for swine flu were 346, it decreased to 249 on Thursday. On Friday 278 persons were tested positive, while on Saturday, it reduced to 133.

Besides, on February 15 and February 16, persons tested positive for the diseases were 402 and 447 respectively.

The health department officials said that six more persons died of the disease taking the total toll to 212. One death each was reported from Jodhpur, Barmer, Kota, Jhunjhunu, Jaipur and Churu.

According to the health department figures, at least 4,318 persons have already been tested positive for swine flu since January 1. In the same period, the health department has tested more than 10,500 swab samples of suspected cases of swine flu.

Dotasar claimed at least 1,000 people had died of H1N1 virus in the state so far this year against the government?s figure of 243 deaths. He said the tourism and hospitality industry in the state was badly affected due to the pandemic and overall tourism sector of the country had suffered a loss of about 5,500 cr. Meena told the House that the state government was making false statements on swine flu as it did not have Tamiflu stocks available with it before January.
