Recall: BUI Natural Tofu Shrimp Salad Roll, Vegetarian Salad Roll - Undeclared Wheat, Soy

September 10, 2011 - BUI Natural Tofu, Portland, Oregon is voluntarily recalling their Shrimp Salad Roll and Vegetarian Salad Roll because they contain undeclared soy and wheat. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy and wheat run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The salad rolls contain undeclared allergens as follows:
Shrimp Salad Roll with the UPC 8 95467 00203 8 contains but ingredient statement did not declare Soy and Wheat.
Vegetarian Salad Roll with the UPC 8 95467 00204 5 contains but ingredient statement did not declare Soy and Wheat.

Shrimp Salad Roll and Vegetarian Salad Roll were distributed to retail stores in Portland Metropolitan area in Oregon. Products are sold under BUI fresh from the bean brand.

The products are packaged in a tray with clear plastic wrapper, and are coded with a white sticker containing expiration date from 9/2 through 9/13. The products are refrigerated and have the shelf life about three days.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem...
