The Mexico City government said it launched the integration of the Safe School Network to prevent the spread of influenza A H1N1.
This group, together with parents, students, delegations and regional coordination of public security and law enforcement in Mexico City.
The intention is to reduce the number of infections. To achieve the authorities taught courses to parents and students to explain the disease, symptoms and hygiene measures necessary to prevent influenza.
In the first phase of the Safe School Network joined parents of 359 students from 91 secondary daytime Republic of Peru, located in the Magdalena Contreras.
This campus is the first that binds to the prevention of virus infections on campus.
During the sessions of the course tutors and students explained that the influenza virus A H1N1 remains latent and is most dangerous in cold weather, why should reinforce prevention measures.
The Federal District is light yellow health alert by the number of cases filed in recent days. This color recommended raising the personal hygiene and common areas, although daily activities are not suspended.
The indications given to the school community are constantly washing hands, covering mouths when coughing or sneezing, avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth with unclean hands, not self-medicate, wear masks if sick, not sharing utensils personal and do not spit on the floor.
It also called to the hospital or the nearest health center if you have any of the symptoms: fever higher than 38 degrees Celsius, cough, headache, neck or muscle. The government's aim is that all schools are located in Mexico City to join the Safe School Network, in order to protect children from the virus.
