Saltillo. - The Ministry of Health of Coahuila held its press conference every Friday, which aims to report on activities related to the theme of riketsiosis, tick-borne disease that has claimed eight victims in the region .

In this Dec. 21, said the deputy director of Prevention and Health Promotion, Marco Antonio Ruiz Pradis have increased to 27 colonies in epidemiological surveillance, 24 in Saltillo and two in the neighboring town of Ramos Arizpe.

"He added the colony Mirasierra, March 26, Bellavista, Santa Elena and freedom here in Saltillo, the White Esthela in Ramos Arizpe.

He also commented that still await results of possible cases in Ramos Arizpe, as the Institute of Diagnostics has a week to process and may require 15 to 21 days to deliver the report.

Also continue activities conducted through the Health Security Committee.

So far there are 13 confirmed cases, including 8 deaths, 2 in Torreon, one in Parras, one in Ramos Arizpe and 9 in Saltillo.
