Diagnoses have more than doubled

...The number of doses for tuberculosis medication administered in the province has more than doubled this year, to 9,042 in July from 4,318 in January.
The numbers in Saskatoon in particular have surged; 53 patients are currently receiving treatment in the city. Of those, 10 have active cases of tuberculosis, while the remainder are latent.
Normally there would only be three active cases in the city...
The increase in Saskatoon is due to two main factors, he said. One is the new, more aggressive Canadian treatment standards...
